Last week, second grade students performed for their peers in music class!
Mrs. Niu's classes learned a song called Che Che Koolay, an African call-and response song. A leader was chosen, along with percussionists on the conga drum, hand drums, maraca, and alto xylophones. Remaining students were singers/dancers!
Mrs. Rzasa's classes were the audience, until it was time to switch. They performed Haru Ga Kita, a song sung in Japanese and English to celebrate the coming Spring. Students played hand drums, finger cymbals, and boomwhackers.
We had a great time!
