Weekly Review 6/6 - 6/10

This week, the first, second, third, fourth, AND fifth graders played Music Jeopardy!  Each grade level has its own game featuring questions from what they have learned in music this year.  The game is also cumulative, so the fifth graders were tested on their knowledge from first through fifth grade music.  They all did a fantastic job!

The categories included Vocabulary, Music notation, Instruments/Instrument Families, Composers, and everyone's favorite - Name That Tune!  It was an awesome way to review, and some students even took home prizes for being on the winning team.

We want to congratulate the third graders on an incredible concert this Tuesday! They performed on the recorder and the violins for their parents, families, and friends.  It was awesome!  We hope they all continue in orchestra or band next year.

For some great photos from the concert, please visit Mrs. Kipp's blog!

The fourth and fifth graders completed their composition projects, which culminated with performances for kindergarten and first grade classrooms. Please check out their videos here and here.

Lastly, the fifth graders are all ready for next Monday's moving up ceremony!  They will be singing and dancing to "Hall of Fame."  We will certainly miss these amazing students, and hope that they come visit us at Memorial when they are across the street at the middle school.
